Connection type: STI. STI is an interface to scan a static image and available on Windows OS after Windows 98. You don't need ASPI when you use STI. There is no difference on performance between STI and ASPI. But when you scan with USB interface, STI is a must. Only KV-S2026C, KV-S2046C and KV-S7065C among Panasonic scanners are available for STI. Others require the ASPI.ISIS stands for Image and Scanner Interface Standard. ISIS, a de facto standard created by Pixel Translations, Inc., a division of Input Software (formerly Cornerstone Imaging), is a system of software modules, each of which performs a specific image related function. ISIS modules are available to control scanners and printers, assist in the viewing of images, compress and convert the format of image data, and read or write files containing data. Panasonic KV-SS series SCSI scanners come bundled with high performance ISIS Certified drivers for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, WindowsNT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
