Opis D2X-XL:
D2X-XL jest OPenGL modem dla klasycznej gry Descent 2. D2X-Xl jest oparta na D2x 0.2.6. D2x-xl wszystkie błędy z wersji D2x 0.2.6 zostały naprawione i zachowała wszystkie oryginalne cechy oryginalnego D2_3dfx (oficjalna wersja w grafice voodoo).

D2X-XL funkcjonuje na systemach Windows XP 32-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 9x, Windows 2000.

Zmiany w D2X-XL:
* Fixed: Faces containing see-through areas became completely transparent when lit with the headlight
* New: Added a 'readonly' mode where D2X-XL will not try to write any data to disk (will slow down model and level loading). Enable by placing '-readonly' in d2x.ini
